Mary Eva Ofcharka Ricciardi, 92, formerly of Ambridge, was taken from this world into the arms of her loving Savior as she laid down her body and took up her place in heaven along with those who have passed over before her.

She was born December 17, 1923, in Monaca, a daughter of the late Michael Ofcharka and Mili Rajniak Ofcharka Sluka. She lived in Harmony Township with her husband Anthony (Tony) for over 60 years until his passing in June 2004.

She was an excellent mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed doing crafts and keeping her house. While she lived in Harmony Township, she and her family attended Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. After the death of Tony, she moved to King Beaver in Beaver, Pa., where she served the Association as publicist for two years and enjoyed participating in the Craft Club.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Ricciardi, Economy, and Joseph and Jeanne Ricciardi of Beaver, Pa.; one daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and John Tress Jr. of Poland, Ohio; brother-in-law, Terry Ricciardi of Ambridge; 11 grandchildren, Jeffery and Kuntal Ricciardi of Houston, Texas; Amy and Richard Geibel of Butler, Pa.; Antoinette and Jerry Chverchko of Huntley, Ill.; John and Jorie Tress of Winter Garden, Fla.; David Tress and Erika of Gates Mills, Ohio; Sean Tress of Poland, Ohio; Christopher Tress of Louisville, Ky.; Mary and Matt Shotwell of Brentwood, Tenn.; Michael and Jennifer Tress of Griswold, Conn.; Anthony and Anna Ricciardi of Beaver, Pa., and 18 great-grandchildren, Jessica and Emily Ricciardi, Kyra Ricciardi, Darien Chverchko, Benjamin and Alexa Geibel, Shane and Clara Tress, Luke, Evan and Avery Shotwell, Emma, Benjamin and Lillian Tress, Chloe Batch, Miriam Batch, and Sarah and Lydia Tress. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Along with her parents and her beloved husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister and her husband, Dorothy and Joseph Markulin; stepfather, Martin Sluka, all of Monaca; five brothers-in-law, Peter, Paul and Perry Ricciardi, Louis Vita and Samuel Pasco, and by two sisters-in-law, Catherine Vita and Rose Pasco.

Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in Good Samaritan Church. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.

The Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild will recite a rosary Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas, 5827 Meridian Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
