Robert R. Bezuk, 86, of Harmony Twp., died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in Kindred Hospital, Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born June 1, 1929, in Sewickley, he was a son of the late John and Dorothy Bezuk and stepson of the late Mary Pintar Bezuk. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge, and had attended and graduated from the University of Kentucky. He retired as an Ambridge Area schoolteacher. Bob was also known as an excellent quarterback for the Ambridge football team during the late 1940s and was an assistant coach while teaching at Ambridge High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John J. Bezuk, in 1999.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Valeria Rotondo Bezuk; two stepbrothers, John Mrazovich, Ambridge, and Charles Mrazovich, Hialeah, FL; a sister-in-law, Patricia Tracy, Houston, TX, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received Monday, August 31, 2015, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in Good Samaritan Church. Rev. Father Joseph Carr will officiate.
Private interment will be in Economy Cemetery.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 11:45 a.m. at Good Samaritan Church to provide full military honors.
