Mary Ann Gebet Mosura, 96, formerly of Ambridge, passed on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was born January 26, 1921.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Theodore and Sophie Suchy Gebet, and four brothers, Joseph, Walter, Albert and Frank.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Hanich, Marlene Krill and Charles Mosura. She had six grandchildren, Danica Hanich Hensley, Nicholas Hanich (deceased), Alexis Andrew Krill, Mary Margaret Krill Joly, Melissa, and Andrew Mosura. She also had nine great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Lucas Hensley, Ava, Sadie and Andrew Krill (all deceased at childbirth), Grace and Zane Krill, and Tess and Yve Joly.
Mary resided in Ambridge all her life before moving to California in 2004 where she lived with her daughter Marlene and family in Orange, California. She was a lifelong member and supporter of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, even while living in California.
Funeral services for her California family and friends were held at St. Luke Antiochian Orthodox Church, Garden Grove, California, where she regularly attended services.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 p.m. until the time of Parastas service at 7:30 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Translation of the body to follow to St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, where a service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the Very Rev. Father Michael Kochis officiating.
Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mary's wishes were to have donations given to St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary, South Bound Brook, N.J.
