Josephine (Gray) Sykes

Josephine Sykes, 81, of Ambridge, died Monday, July 3, 2017, at home.

Born July 4, 1935, in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katie Mae Houston Gray, she was retired from Phoenix Glass.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sykes, March 20, 2015; one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are an adopted daughter, Joyceline L. Byas, Columbus, Ohio; two grandsons, Devany J. Jenkins II, Columbus, Ohio and Elwich Phillip Christopher Byas III, Pittsburgh; and one sister, Patti Gray, Weirton, W.Va.

Friends will be received Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, with Minister Quanita Elmore officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
