Joseph Hudicek, 98, formerly of Ambridge, died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Rochester Villa.

Born March 27, 1918, in Czechoslovakia, he was retired from the A.B. Company. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Church and was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Hudicek, in 1983; a son, Richard Hudicek, in 2005; a daughter, Mary T. Hudicek, in 2006; two brothers, Jack and Frank, and a sister, Rose.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Carole Hudicek, Keller, TX; a grandson, Richard Michael Hudicek, Dallas, TX, and a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Alice Chudicek, Rochester.

Friends will be received Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the Good Samaritan Church. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery.

The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 12:45 p.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
