Enrico A. Paliani, 89, formerly of Ambridge, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, in Connecticut.
Born January 16, 1927, in Ambridge, a son of the late Luigi and Adelgisa Costanza Paliani, he was retired from Armco with 42 years of service. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Church, the former Ambridge Wolves Club, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a grievance man for the Local Steelworkers Union.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Gloria Paliani, in 1994; daughter, Carolina Rosenberger; two sisters, Carolina Paliani and Wilma Quigley, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Quigley.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Enrico A. Jr. and Jennie Paliani, New Britain, Conn., and John and LouAnn Paliani, Monroe, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Jim Morris, with whom he resided in Milford, Conn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Luigi and Charlotte Paliani, Ambridge; a former son-in-law, Frank Rosenberger, Ambridge; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in Good Samaritan Church.
Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 10:45 a.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
