William I. “Zaz” Zazwirsky, 85, of Ambridge, died peacefully on Sunday October 24, 2021, Concordia at Villa St Joseph. Born January 14, 1936, Ambridge, he was the son of the late Alexander and Julia Katcher Zazwirsky. He loved his family and would do anything for them. He enjoyed playing golf at his club at Nevillewood and Florida. Watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports, was a highlight of his life. He was a member of a long standing card club for over 50 years, which he enjoyed with his friends. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Dolores Kolder Zazwirsky, three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Bill Freed, Cindy and Chris Fontana, Susan and Jason Kuhni, he was “Gig” to his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Bill Freed, Casi Freed, Jaci (Sam) Turley, Christopher (Amy) Fontana, Lexi (Alayna) Fontana, Kayla and Jacob Kuhni, Ryan, Kendall and Keegan Hare, Serfina and Aila Fontana, sister-in-law, Vivian James and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Theodore Zazwirsky, five sisters, Christine Papinchak, Anna Russin, Dorothy Balicki, Lucille Anderson and Agnes Pinotich. Friends will be received Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES,INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave, Ambridge, where a service will be held Thursday October 28, 2021 at 10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, Good Samaritan Church. The family would like to thank Concordia at Villa St Joseph, Baden nurses and aides, Good Samaritan Hospice, for their loving care they gave Bill.
