Theresa Sacco Obituary

Theresa Sacco, 95, of Ambridge, most affectionately known as Nana, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday September 10, 2025, Concordia of Franklin Park. An only child, born on February 12, 1930, in picturesque Amantea, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Teresa Suriano Osso. Theresa embarked on a remarkable journey that led her and her mother across the ocean to Ambridge, PA, where she met her father for the first time at the age of 17 and soon after, the love of her life, Vincent Gabriel Sacco, whom she married in 1950. Her life was one of faith, love, resilience and courage. Theresa got on a bus to Sewickley where her seamstress skills- honed in Italy- blossomed into a career spanning 70 years. She navigated a new culture gracefully, embracing the traditions of her adopted home, while preserving the rich Italian heritage. Through discipline, hard-work, love and perseverance, she established a firm foundation for all generations to follow and was very proud of establishing her own business, Theresa Alterations. Theresa carried the warmth of Italy with her, not only in her heart, but in every delicious recipe she lovingly prepared for her family. When Theresa was present, the kitchen became a place where the aromas of Italian cuisine mingled with the sounds of shared laughter and stories, weaving a tapestry of memories that would last forever. Her legacy is a testament to the quiet sacrifices and dreams fulfilled over a lifetime. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent G. Sacco. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gabriel Vincent (Tammy) Sacco, Vincent James (Tami) Sacco, and Robert (Marlene) Sacco. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Michael (Jessica) Sacco, Angela (Tony) Tarver, Alyssa Sacco, Nicholas (Amanda) Sacco, Jonathan (Randi) Sacco, Julianna (Joshua) Casey and Auna Sacco, and great-grandchildren:  Gabriela, Cody, Gavin, Carson, Wyatt, Harper, Oliver, Stevie, Griffin, and Vincent, also numerous relatives in Canada and Italy. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and every person who had the privilege of knowing her. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and nurses at Concordia of Franklin Park and Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassionate care of “Nana Theresa”. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday September 15, 2025 from 10:00am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge. A luncheon will follow in Jericho Hall. A private entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
