Obituary
Samuel Laba, 88, of Ambridge, died Thursday April 13, 2023, at home. Born December 3, 1934, Ambridge, he was the son of the late John and Anna Velic Laba. He was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, where he was a dedicated custodian for several decades. Sam was a quiet man who enjoyed adventure travel, games of chess and the steel guitar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Michael Laba. A graveside service was held on Saturday April 15, 2023 at Economy Cemetery, with Very Rev Fr William Evansky, officiating. Interment followed at Economy Cemetery. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, was in charge of arrangements.
