Rose K. Gagianas (Kalandros)
Our beloved Rosie went to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 8, 2021. She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on April 8, 1932 to Greek immigrants Mike T. and Kalliope (Vrontou) Kalandros. Rosie was the eldest of three daughters and held the role of interpreter for her parents. This skill led her to befriend many throughout her years. She truly loved all who crossed her path, which made her perfect for her career as a dedicated crossing guard in Ambridge. She welcomed all into her home with open arms, a hot cup of coffee, and a "Ketchup sandwich." She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Fanny Koumonduros and Irene Fardis. She is survived by two sons, Ted (Sue) Gagianas and Emmanuel (Kathy) Gagianas. 6 grandchildren (who she loved "all the same") Amy (Brian) Pettibon, Keenan (Chris) Janicki, Jeremy (Sarah) Gagianas, Jade (Karl) Shaginaw, Brooke (Dillon) Eggers, and Theo (Emily) Gagianas, and 15 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and dear friends, including Donna and Patty Ross. Rosie was a member of Valley Christian Fellowship where she was a prayer warrior. A private family viewing and service was held Monday January 11,2021 at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC.,1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at UPMC Cranberry Place for their years of care and love.
