Robert Taylor Obituary

Robert J. Taylor, 80 of Economy, died Wednesday October 8, 2025 at home. Born March 27, 1945, Sewickley, he was the son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Alice Papson Taylor. He was the sole proprietor of the Taylor Law Office and also worked at the Taylor family Dairy. He was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist/ St. John & Paul Church. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh class of 1967, University of Pittsburgh School of Law class of 1970, member of the Pitt football team, where he was a member of the all Midwestern Athletic Conference. He was inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame in 1992, for football. He was a member of the Beaver County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association , both for 54 years, Pennsylvania Trail Lawyers Association, Board of Directors of Old Economy Village, Ambridge Tip-Off Club, Baden Lions Club and the Sewickley YMCA for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Miller Taylor, one son and daughter-in-law, Robert M. and Karen Taylor, Tampa, FL, four daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer Taylor, Ohio Twp., Michelle and Kristopher Evanto, Massillon, OH, Emily and James Neese, Marshall Twp., Rachel Taylor, Economy, ten grandchildren, Nora, Alece, Taylor, Ava, Bobby, Emma, Maren, Brynn, Lila and Sadie, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marsha and Harry Braunlich, Chicago, Susan and Michael Markantone, Millsboro, DE, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Taylor and two brothers, David and Greg Taylor. Friends will be received Sunday October 12, 2025 from 1-5, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 13, 2025 at 10:30am at St John & Paul Church, 2586 Wexford Bayne Rd., Sewickley, EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Laughlin Memorial Library.
