Robert DeMacio Obituary

Robert Lee DeMacio, 78, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Ewing, New Jersey on June 3, 2025. Robert, born and raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, preceded in death by parents Emil and Elizabeth (Masocco) DeMacio, brother, Thomas DeMacio, and infant daughter Megan Rose DeMacio. To Rob, nothing was more important than family. His greatest joy came from being a devoted husband, father and friend, always present, always dependable. He is survived by his wife, Maggie (McCartney) DeMacio and daughters, Amy (Matthew) Brady, Beth (Kevin) Hess, and Jennie (Dan) Tomalin. His legacy also lives on with his seven grandsons, Colby Hess, Reed Hess, Cooper Hess, Liam Brady, Tag Brady, DJ Tomalin, and Drew Tomalin. He was also deeply connected his sister-in-law, Patty DeMacio (Thomas); his nephews, Jason DeMacio and TJ DeMacio; and his niece, Julianne DeMacio, the children of his beloved brother, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who meant the world to him. Rob’s dedication to his daughters included coaching, volunteering, and encouraging them in all their pursuits. When Rob found himself on the McCartney Family Farm, he embraced the change from town life to farm life. He enjoyed every minute of it, especially driving the big dually truck to horse shows! Rob celebrated 56 years with his loving wife on November 16, 2024. They were true life partners. Rob overcame numerous health challenges over the years—he was like a cat with nine lives, always bouncing back with quiet resilience. Without even knowing it, he was an environmental ambassador ahead of his time, known for his creative ability to repurpose just about anything and everything. In his later years, after raising three daughters, he found great joy in contributing to the lives of his seven grandsons, sharing his wisdom, humor, and love.
