Richard J. Verigood, 87, of Ambridge, died Friday January 29,2021 at home, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's. Born April 5,1933, Sewickley, he was the son of the late John and Mary Kasarda Verigood. He had worked at Bethlehem Steel, Sewickley Valley Hospital and Oxford Center, Pittsburgh. He was a member of Good Samaritan Church and was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War and was an avid sports card collector. Surviving are his wife, Marlene Mutschler Verigood, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Jerry Tignanelli, Ambridge, Maura and Curt Dalgaard, Coraopolis, four grandchildren, Sarah and Emma Tignanelli, Connor and Nathan Dalgaard, two brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Verigood, Lancaster, Norman and Nancy Verigood, Columbia, SC, one sister-in-law, Geri Giammaria, Ambridge, and many nieces and nephews. A private family viewing was held at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES,INC.,1099 Maplewood Ave.,Ambridge. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Good Samaritan Church. Interment followed at Good Samaritan Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to Laughlin Memorial Library in his name.
