Rena (Niaros) Xillas, 94, of Ambridge, died Wednesday May 25, 2022, Heritage Valley Sewickley. Born October 3, 1927, Burlington, NC, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Amelia Collins. From 1951-1956, Rena and her husband Jim owned & operated Tick Tock Luncheonette in Ambridge, and from 1956-Present, they owned & operated Fair Oaks Lanes & Fair Oaks Lounge. For 47 years, Rena was the bartender, who knew many customers by first name and drink. She was also known as a matchmaker for many of her friends and customers. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James J. Niaros, her second husband, Pete Xillas, three brothers, Jimmie, Nick and Chris Collins, two sisters, Tessie Pefanis and Thalia Bundros. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Susie Niaros, Harmony Twp., Van and Debbie Niaros, Baden, one daughter and son-in-law, Aphrodite and Dean Galitsis, Marshall Twp., five grandchildren, Dean and Tami Galitsis, James and Sara Galitsis, Anastasia and Andre Maia, Marissa and Shawn Butter, Dimitri Niaros, five great-grandchildren, Stana, Alex, Kosta, Aurelia and Annie Galitsis and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday May 31, 2022, from 2-8 at Fair Oaks Lanes, 660 Ambridge Ave., Fair Oaks. Additional viewing will be held Wednesday June 1, 2022 from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00am, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with Fr. Anastasios Athanasiou officiating. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery. Trisagion service will be held Tuesday at 5:30pm at Fair Oaks Lanes. Contributions can be made, if desired, to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in her memory.
