Raymond E. Freed

Raymond E. Freed, 91, of Ambridge, died Friday November 5, 2021, Friendship Commons. Born May 29, 1930, Sewickley, he was the son of the late William and Rebecca Higley Freed. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel, member of St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, and was a US army Korean War Veteran, where he received a Bronze Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine A. Freed, three brothers, Jon, William and James Freed, one sister, Naomi Jackson. Surviving are two sons & daughters-in-law, Raymond E. Freed Jr., Canton, Ohio, Daniel J. and Vicky Freed, Economy, five grandchildren, Rochell and Raymond M. Freed, Ryan Freed, Samantha and Amelia Freed, three great-grandchildren, Aria Grace Freed, Raymond M. Freed Jr., James Paul Freed, two sisters, Eleanor Garcia, Conway, Eileen Hargus, Colorado and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday November 9, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Wednesday November 10, 2021 at 11:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30am, St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Polosky officiating. Interment will follow at St Peter & Paul Cemetery. A Parastas Service will be held Tuesday at 6:00pm in the funeral home. The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 12:45pm at the cemetery, to provide full military honors.
