Perry V. Morgan Obituary

Perry V. Morgan, 98, of Hopewell Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday March 5, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1927, in Czar, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Perry L. and Nellie Hicks Morgan. He was a WWII Army veteran, serving in the Tank Division and US Constabulary Unit in Nuremberg, Germany. Perry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Batrla Morgan, who passed away in 2019. Perry and Betty shared 67 years of marriage, a true testament to their love and devotion. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Katherine Batrla, six brothers, two sisters and four brothers-in-law. He is survived by his loving children: Allen Morgan (Angie) and Deborah “Debbie” O’Connor (Brian). Perry was a proud grandfather to Don O’Connor (Tamica), Ali Morgan, Eric O’Connor (Veronica). Step grandfather to Sherry (Bob) Garcia, Jeff O’Connor, Robin (Chad) Redfern, Heather Penka, Summer Kesinger and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Morgan and Alfred Morgan (Joann), his sister-in-law, Barb Reda, his brother-in-law, Rich Batrla, along with many nieces and nephews. Perry will be especially missed by his great-grandson Jonathan, who shared a very special bond with his Pap. Their Sunday visits and tea parties were moments Perry truly treasured. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Barb and Rich, who were always there for Perry and for our family. He deeply enjoyed your visits and companionship. Perry will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep love for his family, and the many lives he touched over his 98 years. In addition, we would like to thank Aaron and Jessica at the Beaver County VA for all the care they gave and the Area of Office on Aging for their support. Friends will be received Monday March 9, 2026 from 3-7, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2026 at 10:00am in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
