Paul Edward Kolesar, 90, of Sewickley, died Wednesday March 8, 2023, at home. Born June 29, 1932, Sewickley, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Maccagnan Kolesar. He was retired from US Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh, a member of Divine Redeemer Parish/ St James Church, St Luke the Evangelist/ Good Samaritan Church, Knights of Columbus, graduate of St Veronica High School, Ambridge, University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a degree in civil engineering. He was a professional engineer and a registered landscape architect in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, US Army veteran during the Korean War, Big Red 1. Surviving are his wife, Helen Figel Kolesar, two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul E. Jr. and Jennifer Kolesar, Mooresville, NC, Michael J. and Becky Kolesar, Sewickley, one daughter and son-in-law, Helen L. and Fred Marsh, Lewes, Delaware, seven grandchildren, Justin, Sean, Gabrielle, Isabella, Breanna, Austin and Matthew, one brother, Joseph Kolesar, Cheverly, Maryland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Yakupkovic. Friends will be received Friday March 10, 2023, from 10:00am- 12:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30pm at St Luke the Evangelist/ Good Samaritan Church. A private interment will take place at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
