Olga Voynik, 94, of Baden, died Monday, October 25, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford. Olga Passed peacefully holding the hand of her daughter Janice, who has provided love and care for her for many years. Olga was an avid gardener and loved to bowl weekly in her league. She loved to meet people and socialize. She shared so much wisdom with her family and we will forever miss her advice. Born March 9, 1927, in Ambridge, a daughter of the late Anton and Eva Nyduk Syrko, she was a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church and St. Mary’s Sisterhood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Voynik, on October 23, 2006; three brothers, Andrew, John and Mike Syrko and three sisters, Mary Kresicki, Ann Tucker and Sophie Zgainer. Surviving are two sons, Richard (Barbara) Voynik, Economy; Alan (Sue) Voynik, Keizer, OR; one daughter, Janice Voynik, Baden; five grandchildren, Courtney, Matt, Elizabeth, Allyson and Amanda; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Carter, Braxton and Nathan; and many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat Olaf. Friends will be received Friday October 29, 2021 from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00am, St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with the Very Rev Fr Michael Kochis, officiating .Masks are required at the church. Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave. Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements. We thank the many hospital employees and the caring Concordia at Villa St. Joseph staff that provided care in the past year. A very special thank you to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford. Everyone provided the best care and support for not only our mother, but the entire family. We are forever in your debt. Thank you to her many caring neighbors, she loved being a part of your lives.
