Mike Sovich Jr.

Mike Sovich Jr., 90, of Economy Borough, passed away on December 4, 2020, leaving behind a house full of love and big shoes. Born September 11, 1930, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late Mike Sr. and Anna Lazor Sovich. He retired from the Air National Guard 171st Air Refueling Wing. Mike was a member of Baden United Methodist Church, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a member of the Air National Guard. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Sovich; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Michelle Sovich; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Jean and her special friend, Robert Woloshan and Michelle and Richard Lapinsky, all of Economy Boro; four grandchildren, Bethany Csomay, Emma Sovich, Lukas Sovich and Kristy Lynn Mason; three great-grandchildren, Airman First Class Drake Silberger, Sierra Davis and Pierce Bouterse. We love you, Dad. We love you, Pap. Surviving also are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Jackie Sovich, Florida and Mike and Peggy Sovich, Moon Twp.; four sisters and brothers-law, Anna Mae Arthur, Chicago, Diane and Russell Basalyga, Pittsburgh, Mary Lou Sovich, East Palestine, Ohio and Linda and Rob Frew, Economy Borough. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Sovich. A private family viewing and service were held Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, PA. Interment followed at Economy Cemetery.
