Mary Jane Matich Obituary

Mary Jane Matich, 81, of Aliquippa, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday November 28, 2025.Born August 31, 1944, Monaca, she was the daughter of the late Fiore and Mary Carducci DeChellis. She was a dedicated and loyal employee of Kaufmann’s and Macy’s with 38 years of service. She loved going to work every day and helping customers pick out clothing for special events they had coming up. She had customers who would only take her advice and purchase from her. Mary Jane was very meticulous about her appearance, she always was “done up”, from her hair, nails, make-up and fashionable clothes. She loved day long shopping trips with her late husband, Bob, which always ended up going to one of their favorite restaurants on the way home. She was a good-hearted person, who would do without if someone else needed something. Mary Jane was very faithful in prayer; she prayed daily for those whom she found out were sick or experiencing something critical in their life. She was a firm believer in angels, where she had many throughout her home and in her yard. She loved doing yard work and planting flowers around her home, where neighbors always commented on how nice her yard looked. Most of all, she loved and adored her grandchildren, Demi, Bobby and Khloe. Due to her being unable to attend their events, she always wanted pictures and the scores of all their games. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Matich, two brothers, Anthony and John DeChellis and one sister, Rita Binkoski. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert P. and Michele Matich, Jeffrey and Sherry Matich, three grandchildren, Demi and fiancé Andy, Bobby and Khloe, one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Tim McKim, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and David Lolly, sister-in-law, Shirley DeChellis, her grand dogs, Lexi and Bruno , many nieces and nephews.
