Mary Urquhart, 68,of Ambridge, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2024, Allegheny General Hospital. Born March 21, 1956, Rochester, to late James Urquhart Sr., and Thelma (Bardon)Urquhart ,she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Urquhart, James Urquhart Jr., and one sister Marie Urquhart(Davis-Bakari).Mary was loved and adorned by her direct family, she leaves behind her only child Ashly (Marshman) Kester(Plum), her only remaining brother, Robert Urquhart (Ambridge), and Son in Law Lee Kester (Plum) her three Grandchildren, she loved as if they were her own, Isiah Kester, Navana Kester, and Lee Kester III. Mary was a Seamstress in the earlier portion of her life, worked part time as a dispatcher, and at County Cab. Towards the later portion of her life, prior to Mary retiring, due to her illnesses, Mary worked for several years at Foodland. She was known by various children within her direct community, often those children would refer to her as "Grandma". One child in particular known as Rodlynn Griffie, Mary adored and considered as family. Mary’s legacy will live on through the various children, and children's children whom later grew into adults. "Everyone in Crestview Village knew Ms. Mary”. She was known for her caring, kind, and compassionate nature. Her sense of humor will live on in memory of those who knew her closely. She was a beautiful soul, who always helped others, especially children. She will be greatly missed by many. Friends will be received Sunday September 15, 2024 from 1:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Private interment will take place at Sewickley Cemetery.
