Mary Margaret Cummiskey

Mary Margaret Cummiskey, of Herndon, VA, passed away on June 26th, 2024.

Born October 1, 1931 and raised in Ambridge, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Durkin. Her husband, Vince, her son, Pat and her brother, Jack, also preceded her in death.

Mary traveled extensively across the country, enjoying many locales and making many friends. She also lived in Germany and embraced the culture and people. Her Irish ancestry was a source of great pride. She loved family and faith. She was smart, an avid reader and a true people person.

To cherish her memory are sons Mike (wife, Penny), Terry (wife, Sharon), Brian (wife, Jenny), daughter Maureen (husband, Marty) and son Dan. She is also survived by loving grandchildren Heather, Nathan, Jason, Brendon, Eric, Peyton, Claire and Nelson, and seven great-grandchildren.

A lifelong Catholic, she will have a graveside service at Good Samaritan Cemetery on Friday July 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A loving mom who will be missed by all who knew her.
