Maria Perri Cimarusti, of Baden, loving mother, daughter, and sister to four siblings, passed away peacefully at the age of 64 on Monday, December 11, 2023. Maria was born on July 21, 1959 in Sewickley, PA. She was the daughter of Vittoria (Barbuto) Perri, Baden and the late Romano Perri. A 1977 graduate of Ambridge High School and class co-valedictorian, she received a degree in chemistry from Penn State University in 1981 followed by a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Maria worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 23 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb, Integra Lifesciences, and Cytogen. Maria married Christopher M. Cimarusti in 1987 and gave birth to their only son Christoper in 1991, now sharing the same birth date the 21st of July. She adored her son Christopher, her love for him unwavering and unconditional. Taking after her father Romano, Maria possessed incredible talent in both music and academics. She mastered the mandolin at a very young age, never received less than an A grade in 12 years of schooling, and like her father worked as a research chemist for many years. Naturally she remained a die-hard Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan. Always one for a good party, Maria was one of the most optimistic, fun-loving persons you’d ever meet, never complaining no matter what turns life threw her way. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her dedicated father, Maria was preceded in death by her selfless, caring sister Rosetta, and her beloved aunt, Teresa Carifo. Maria is survived by her adoring mother Vittoria Perri, her treasured son Christopher, living in Japan, her brother Patsy and his wife Diane Perri of Bakersfield, CA, her brothers and longstanding caregivers, Frank and Romano Perri of Baden, her two nephews, Matthew and Luke Perri of Bakersfield, CA, her niece Brooke Perri of Bakersfield, CA, her aunt Esther Barbuto of Aliquippa amongst many other cousins and close friends. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 1099 Maplewood Avenue, Ambridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:30 am at St Luke the Evangelist/ Good Samaritan Church, Everyone Please Meet at The Church. Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery.
