Lucinda (Post) Garis

Lucinda (Cindy Post) Garis, 80, of Ambridge, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 20, 2022, at home. Born July 5, 1942, Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Betty Van Horn Post. She graduated from Ambridge High School, and worked in the gift shop at Old Economy Village for many years and then worked for the Pennsylvania unemployment office. She loved singing and playing the piano and organ. Cindy was an active member of Grace Bible Church and was faithful in the position of church organist. Cindy spent her life devoted to her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her son David P. Brutout Jr. She is survived by her husband, Charles Garis, her daughter, Christine (Lee) Hradil, her son, Eric (Heather) Brutout, and her daughter, Kathy James. She is also survived by her sisters, Penny McClowry and Pamela Eggers, and her brother, Ben Post. Her family is extremely close and she has close grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday October 28, 2022, from 1-3, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. A service will be held Friday October 28, 2022 at 3:00pm at the funeral home, with Rev Joseph Pisano, officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Gallagher Hospice or Grace Bible Church.
