Linda L. Johnson, 78, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born on March 10, 1947, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Burmood) DiLorenzo. Linda grew up in New Castle and, in her twenties, bravely packed up and moved on her own to Arizona—a decision that reflected her independent spirit and determination. She had a fulfilling career as an X-ray technician, working at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and later with Arizona Community Physicians. Linda truly loved her work and took great pride in helping and caring for patients throughout her career. It was during this time that she formed lifelong friendships with Jenn Rago and Patti Cutler, relationships she cherished deeply. In her later years, she returned to Pennsylvania, where she resided.Due to health challenges, she retired early from the career she loved. She found comfort in familiar routines, spending time at home, watching television, reading a book and enjoying the companionship of her beloved cat, Lincoln. She especially enjoyed watching Chicago P.D. and Criminal Minds. Linda took great pride in her apartment, which was always thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, reflecting her natural ability to make any space feel warm, welcoming, and truly her own. Linda also found friendship and unwavering support in her neighbor, Amy Yaworsky, whom she loved like a daughter. Their bond brought Linda great comfort and meant more than words can express. Above all, Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her daughter and grandson were the greatest joys of her life. Her face lit up whenever she spoke about them, and she was endlessly proud of both. She cherished the time they spent together, especially cooking and hosting them for meals filled with love. Linda was funny, strong willed and deeply thoughtful, with a quiet strength that carried her through life’s challenges. She was always thinking of others, checking in, offering prayers, and caring deeply about the people in her life. Her love of animals was evident throughout her life; her home was never complete without them. Linda is survived by her daughter, Rachel Kruzelyak of Center Township; her beloved grandson, Kane Kruzelyak; her brothers, Joseph DiLorenzo Jr. of Florida, Craig (Dolores) DiLorenzo of New Jersey, and Jeffrey DiLorenzo of Pittsburgh; her niece, Lisa DiLorenzo Pavelko; and her nephews, Chris DiLorenzo and A.J. DiLorenzo. She will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the deep love she carried for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, always. There will be no viewing, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 23, 2026 at 10:30am, Good Samaritan Church.
