Lena Scalese

Lena Scalese, 97, of Ambridge, died Sunday March 10, 2024, Concordia at Villa St Joseph. Born September 5, 1926, Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Philomena Stalzo Scalese.Lena worked as a bank teller at the former Equibank, retiring after 35 years and then worked at H&R Block. She was a parishioner of St Luke the Evangelist/ Good Samaritan Parish and member of the Christian Mothers of the former Christ the King Parish. She is survived by a special niece, Rachel Sposaro, Winter Park, FL and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy and Eleanor Scalese. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday March 18, 2024 at 10:30am, Good Samaritan Church. Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements. Her family would like to thank the Good Samaritan Hospice Team, the Memory Care Unit staff of Concordia at Villa St Joseph Personal Care and dedicated friend, Carol Pinkosky, for their compassionate care and support of Lena, in her final days.
