Kevin M. Clifton Obituary

Kevin M. Clifton, 76, of Ambridge, died Sunday March 29, 2026, UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born November 29, 1949, Warren, Ohio, he was the son of the late Thomas and Wanda Stern Clifton. He was a member of St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was a US Navy veteran, after his service, he worked at Copperweld Steel and while there, he volunteered at the United Way of Trumbell County, Ohio, where he eventually took a full time position as campaign director and later at the Allegheny County United Way. Later in life, he attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a degree in management information systems. He then worked at the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business, PPG Industries and New Brighton School District. Kevin was an active, dedicated and loyal member of the Ohio Jaycees and ran very efficient state and national election campaigns. He was recognized with the “Distinguished Service Award” and was also recognized for his efforts with the “National Jaycee Senator Award” for outstanding achievement. He was a walking encyclopedia and never forgot a face. But he was best known for his wit and enthusiasm and his natural ability to tell stories, especially “Irish” stories. He also enjoyed bringing together family and friends and sharing his gift of gourmet cooking, baking and his specialty libations. Surviving is his wife, Irene Muzyka Clifton, one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Lindsey Clifton, two daughters, Mary Hewlett, Margaret Bupp, four grandchildren, Riona, Riley, Ian, Charles, three brothers and sisters-in-law, his “Irish Twin”, Thomas and Jean Clifton, Ted and Cheryl Clifton, Dan and Ruby Clifton, his beloved dog, London, his beloved cat, Jameson and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Wednesday April 1, 2026 at 9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am, St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Polosky, officiating. Interment will follow at St Peter & Paul Cemetery. The family would like to thank the MICU at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, for their excellent and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church or the Beaver County Humane Society. A Parastas Service will be held Tuesday at 2:15pm at the funeral home.
