Judith L. (Spolarich) Reed

Judith Louise “Judy” Reed (Spolarich), 78, of Crescent Twp., died Tuesday August 31, 2021, Good Samaritan Hospice Wexford. Born November 10,1942, Sewickley, PA. She was the daughter of the late George T. Spolarich and Josephine Zgainer. She was the devoted wife of Russ R. Reed, proud mother of Kevin Popovic (Petra), Del Mar, California, Christopher Popovic (Jennifer) Bell Acres, PA, and Richard Popovic. (Xochitl) Houston TX. Judy was proud of her five grandchildren, Haley Cornigan (Conner) Colorado Springs, CO, Nicholas Popovic, Sewickley, Alexis McDonald (Danny) Harmony, PA, Abigail Popovic, Sewickley, and Charlie Popovic, Robinson, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Georgianne Brickner of Ellicott City Md. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Barry Brickner. A 1959 graduate of Mt. Gallitzin High School, Baden, and Computer Systems Inc. (Everett Institute).  She was employed by HH Robertson Co., LTV Steel Corporation, TCI, Pittsburgh, Adelphia Cable Corporation, Coudersport, PA and Bayer, Corp. Judy was a lifelong resident of Crescent Township. She earned an associate degree as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal Business from Computer Systems Institute (Everett Institute) and spent her professional in the positions of Paralegal with TCI, Director of EEO Compliance & Training with Adelphia Cable Corporation in Coudersport, PA, and Bayer Corporation. Judy enjoyed her talents of sewing and quilting and developed a passion for gardening. She completed her Master Gardener certification from Penn State University. Her gardens at her homes were her pride and joy.In keeping with Judy’s original wishes, there will be no viewing. Services will be private and at the convenience of her family. Judy has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her honor to a charity of your choice.
