Judith A. Bergman

Judith A. Bergman, 75, of Economy, passed away peacefully on Monday January 2, 2023. Born September 3, 1947, Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Gilarno. Judi fell in love and married her best friend and love of her life, Arthur “Bud” Bergman, in October 1969, who preceded her in death in 2004. We can rest easy knowing she is in his arms again. Judi was a dedicated mother who was always there for her children and embraced every moment with them. Judi’s love for her children shined through in everything she did. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She was a magical Grandma, creating wonderful memories for her grandchildren out of thin air. She was front row and center at every sporting event, school concert, and spelling bee, until she couldn’t be anymore. Oh how we loved her. After a successful career in Human Resources, Judi spent her retirement dedicating her time to others. Helping Veterans became a true passion for Judi, and she spent many years and countless hours giving back. She was a long standing member of the Baden American Legion and served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary there. You could always find her big smile helping at the Friday night fish fries. She loved to make her famous perogies for friends and family, and was always guaranteed to give a good wise crack. No amount of time with Judi would have been enough, though she gave us memories to last several lifetimes. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Cindy Bergman, Economy, one daughter and son-in-law, Leeann and Ron Eisel, Economy, three grandchildren, Brady, Addison and Parker, one brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Rose Gilarno, Patterson Twp., two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and John Johnson, Center Twp., Tracy and Bob Sutton, Economy. Friends will be received Friday January 6, 2023 from 3:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge.
