John J. Josapak Formerly of Baden John J. Josapak, 97, formerly of Baden, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 6, 2020, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Born October 6, 1922, in Wheeling, W. Va., he was a son of the late John J. and Helen Shramek Josapak. He was retired from Armco Steel. John served in the U.S. Army during World War II, his tour included D-Day, Battle of the Bulge and liberation of a concentration camp. He was a lifelong devoted Roman Catholic serving in the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and a dedicated volunteer at the food bank and soup kitchen. He was a Steeler football fan before they started winning. He loved his garden and lawn and loved walking along the gulf beaches of Florida, collecting shells and shark teeth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Doris R. Braden Josapak in 1995; a son and daughter-in-law, John Lee and Jill Diane Josapak; two daughters-in-law, Michelle and Susan Josapak; a brother, Steve and three sisters, Mary, Helen and Ameilla. He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael E. and Karen J. Josapak, Baden and Thomas P. Josapak and Robert E. and Dana Josapak, all of Palm Harbor Fla.; five grandchildren, Michael R., Thomas, Marybeth, Cameron and Molly J.; a sister, Rose and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hill Memorial Park. The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 12 p.m. to provide Full Military Honors.
