Irene Vasilakis

Irene Vasilakis, 88, formerly of Ambridge, died Saturday September 10, 2022, Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. Born December 4, 1933, Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late James and Androniki Hronas. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Holy Trinity Ladies Philoptochos and was a former Sunday School teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Vasilakis, four brothers, William, George, Michael and John Hronas. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Alexander and Marion Vasilakis, Brighton Twp., Dr. Chris and Gena Vasilakis, Morgantown, WV, two grandchildren, Dr. Georgia Vasilakis- Tsatiris (Constantinos), Pittsburgh, Kristen Vasilakis, Brighton Twp. Friends will be received Monday September 12,2022 from 4-8 BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Additional viewing will be held Tuesday September 13, 2022 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Service at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Trisagion service will be held on Monday at 7:30pm at the funeral home. The family would like to thank St Barnabas Beaver Meadows and Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver for their excellent and compassionate care they gave our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in her memory.
