Fred Peatross

Fred “Freddie” A. Peatross, 81, of Ambridge, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 5, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Fred was born August 23, 1944 in Aliquippa, to the late Robert and Celeste Peatross. Fred retired from the Ambridge Area Water Authority in 2015 after 25 years. He was also employed by various steel mills in the Beaver Valley, including Armco prior to working at the water Authority. Fred enjoyed working in his yard which was meticulous. He also enjoyed watching Westerns on TV and spending time with his wife and family. He took great pride and enjoyment in ministry, greeting people as they came into worship at Christ Church at Grove Farm, where he also served in their café. He was known for his famous chicken salad. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 60 years, Beverly Peatross, his daughter, Vanessa Peatross, granddaughter, Victoria Peatross, grandson, Jarid Peatross, all of Ambridge, granddaughter, Gracie Peatross, great-granddaughter, Natalia Peatross, sister, Evelyn Jenkins, Robinson Twp., sister, Cynthia Peatross, Aliquippa and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family of Fred would like to extend a special thank you to his health care team and Suncrest Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 2:00pm, at Christ Church of Grove Farm, 249 Duff Rd., Sewickley, Pa., 15143.
