Frances T. (Bohn) Cantakis

Frances T. Cantakis, 93, of New Castle, died Thursday February 13, 2025, UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born March 23, 1931, Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Schonegg Bohn. She was a member of Kimisis Tis Theotokou Church, Aliquippa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gust Cantakis, two brothers, Joseph Bohn and Paul E. Bohn and one sister, Marie Ann Slavik. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Linette Cantakis, Mark Cantakis, Christopher “Andy” and Valerie Cantakis, all of New Castle, two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgette and William Seiling, Beaver Falls, Connie and Alan Czambel, Aliquippa, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three nieces. Friends will be received Tuesday February 18, 2025 from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00pm, Kimisis Tis Theotokou Church, 2111 Davidson Street, Aliquippa, Pa., 15001, with Fr. Theodosios Palis, officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements.
