Eugene J. Gibala

Eugene J. (Geno) Gibala, 90, of Brighton Twp., passed away peacefully Sunday January 22, 2023, Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. Born April 21, 1932, Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anne Balawajder Gibala. He retired with many years of service as an airline mechanic, primarily with US Airways. He was an avid fan of horse racing, loved to golf and go on casino visits, member of the Greek Catholic Union and was a US Army Korean War veteran. Surviving are his wife Rosemarie Keck Gibala, one son, Gregory Gibala, Brighton Twp., one sister, Anne Kelly, Pittsburgh, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Gibala, four sisters, Valentine Baginski, Clara Dulemba, Irene Fischer and Sr. M. Hilarette Gibala. Friends will be received Tuesday January 24, 2023 from 2:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 3:00pm at the funeral home, to provide full military honors.
