Elizabeth "Betty" Latka

Elizabeth “Betty” Latka, 91,formerly of Ambridge passed away at New Hope Personal Care on Saturday August 8, 2026. Born December 26, 1934 in Sewickley. She was the daughter of the late John & Mary (Labun) Latka. She retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. She never had a driver’s license, always relying on the bus systems to get wherever she wanted to go. She had several of the routes memorized and made connections to get to her destinations throughout Allegheny and Beaver counties. She is survived by her sister Elaine (Brad) Malone, Blairsville, GA, niece Carrie (Scott) Moore and nephew Neil Malone, grandniece Ava Moore and grandnephew Max Moore. Friends will be received Wednesday August 12, 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a blessing service by Very Reverend William Evansky. Bohn-Matich Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. 1099 Maplewood Ave. Ambridge. A private internment will follow at Economy Cemetery.
