Edward Kardasz

Edward Kardasz, 86, of Baden, passed away Friday August 19, 2022. Born November 15, 1935, Freedom, he was the son of the late Ben and Catherine Kardasz. He was a member of St John The Baptist Catholic Church, Baden. Ed served in the Air National Guard and the US Army, was a graduate of St Veronica Catholic High School in 1953, where he was an alter server and basketball player. He retired from A&S Railroad and also worked at Holy Family Institute and Ambridge Area School District. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose Scichilone Kardasz, one son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Kardasz, two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Bubba Huwar, Linda and Donnie Sturm, seven grandchildren, Jamie, Katie, Erica, Louis, Jennifer, Sam and Christie and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Kardasz and one sister, Louise Yock. Friends will be received Sunday August 21, 2022 from 2:00pm-5:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Monday August 22, 2022 at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, St Luke Evangelist Parish/ Good Samaritan Church.
