Dorothy Marie (Higley) Gillott

Dorothy Marie Grag Gillott, 89, of Edgeworth, died Monday September 18,2023, Concordia at Villa St Joseph. Born September 22, 1933, Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Hosea and Mary Ewanko Higley. She was a retired psychiatric aide/LPN for 30 years at the former Dixmont and Woodville Hospitals, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the former Leetsdale United Presbyterian Church and a member of Sewickley Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her flowers and had the most beautiful yard and was a loving and giving person to all. She will be missed terribly by her loving daughter, Cynthia McCullough, with whom she resided, one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Barb Grag, Economy, two grandchildren, Allison and Randall Ord, Hopewell Twp., Rebecca and Ronald Rodenbaugh, Center Twp., three great-grandchildren, Kayle Rodenbaugh, Benton and Maxwell Ord, one brother and sister-in-law, William and Shela Higley, Colorado, one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Robert Kehoe, Economy, former daughter-in-law, Barbie Grag, Center Twp., special cousin, Sylvia Bajsec, Moon Twp., good friend, Sue Turk, wonderful neighbors, Tom and Crissy Moran, all of Edgeworth, and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gillott, one brother, James Higley, one sister, Emma Niznik, a son-in-law, Michael McCullough. Friends will be received Tuesday September 26, 2023 from 5:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge.
