Dorothea (Rock) Cody

Dorothea Rock Cody, 76, of Harmony Twp., died Tuesday November 28, 2023, Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford. Born March 28, 1947, Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosella Cumashot Rock. She was a retired teacher, who taught at Western Beaver, Rochester, CCBC and Laughlin Children’s Center. She was a member of St Luke The Evangelist/ Good Samaritan Church, and was a summa cum laude graduate of Slippery Rock University. Surviving are her husband of nearly 54 years, William P. Cody, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Cody and Barbara Vann-Cody, one granddaughter, Annabella Bentivegna, all of New York City and her good friend, Joan Miller, Buffalo, NY. Friends will be received Thursday November 30,2023 from 10:00am until time of Blessing Service at 11:30am, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Benjamin Banks Jr. Memorial Foundation at benbanksfoundation.org.
