Donald J. Worrell, 78, of Hopewell Twp., died Monday January 9, 2023, at home. Born December 18, 1944, Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Harry and Ann Evasovich Worrell. He was retired from J&L Steel and he also worked as a skycap at Pittsburgh International Airport, and was a member of Mary Queens of Saints Parish/ Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Don was an avid sports fan/Pittsburgh fan and never missed a game. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandsons, whom he adored.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years Toni Rubino Worrell, three daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Worrell, Baden, Shawn Worrell-Kevish and Jody Kevish, Coraopolis, Shannon Worrell- DeFerrari, Pittsburgh, son In law , Robert D Thompson Sr Conway, grandchildren, Robert Thompson Jr, Anthony Thompson, Joseph DeFerrari, one brother, Dennis Worrell & Marge Pittsburgh, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Joe Freshkorn, Beaver.
Sisters & brother in law Lori & James Thompson, Bette Romeo all of Hopewell. Life long friend, Cheryl Lloyd and neighbor, Shirley. Numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews & great nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Thompson and one brother, Robert Worrell. There will be no viewing, a memorial service will be held at a later date. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements.
