Cynthia Jean Vlasic

Cynthia Jean Vlasic, 67, of Moon Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday June 27, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Cindy was the daughter of Velma(Dale) Fawley and the late Jack Wingard. A graduate of Moon Area High School & Mt. Ida College in Boston, MA, Cindy worked as a dental hygienist for several local dentists before making the decision to stay home with her family. In her free time, she loved gardening and plants, watching Pittsburgh sports, attending musicals and concerts, but most of all she loved being with her family and friends. In addition to her father, Cindy was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Frank Vlasic. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John and her kids, Frankie, Johnny, and Lindsey, as well as her mother, Velma. She is also survived by her brother, Mark (Audrey) Wingard, mother-in-law, Antoinette Vlasic, sister-in-law, Valerie (Gary) Stumpf, nieces and nephews, Heather, Gary (Jess), Jackie, and great niece and nephew, Sophie and Anthony. Family and friends will be received on Monday July 1, 2024 from 5-8, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, with a Funeral Service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, in her memory.
