Christine Brunner Obituary

Christine Brunner, 93, of Ambridge, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who had more important things for her to do in Heaven than he did for her here on earth. She finished her earthly ministry at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, on August 9, 2022, following a brief illness. Christine was born on December 14, 1928 and was a lifelong resident of Ambridge. She went from being a little girl who never had her own baby doll, and was left behind from class field trips, because her family couldn’t afford for her to go, to being a very wealthy woman. Her wealth did not consist of these world’s riches, but rather was made rich by all the wonderful people her life touched, and those who touched hers in return. Christine, had a special gift for making people feel loved, and spread joy wherever she went. Although she will be sadly missed by these friends, acquaintances and her family, she is leaving behind this legacy of a treasure chest full of joy from which we can also partake of when we think of her. Likewise, nothing would make her happier than if we then try to share the same joy with others. Christine was born in Ambridge to Frank and Mary Watach. Christine was a homemaker by trade, but wore many different hats throughout her long life. She was a lifelong member of St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ambridge and also a member of both the Marian Guild and the Sodality of our Blessed Mother, where she was once crowned with the honor of May Queen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Brunner, two sons, William H. Brunner, Stephen Michael Brunner, four brothers, Joseph, George, John and Nick Watach and one sister, Frances Klimko. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Lawrence Padgett, Center Twp., six grandchildren, Jason Gross, Brandon and Jessica Padgett, Sean and Monette Padgett, Adam Padgett, Chelsea Padgett and Nathaniel Padgett, five great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Leyland, Kaylee, Strad and Ameilya Christine. Friends will be received Friday August 12, 2022 from 5:30pm- 8:00pm at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Saturday August 13, 2022 at 9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am, St Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church.
