Beverly Gail (Adkins) Whitefield, 75, of Ambridge, passed away Thursday morning October 26, 2023, Heritage Valley Sewickley. Born July 24, 1948, Beckley, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James Howard and Elsie Mae (Gill) Adkins. She moved with her family to Beaver County while very young and has otherwise lived her entire life in this area. She married Thomas Allen Whitefield, July 22, 1967. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she spent many years driving school buses for the Ambridge School District. She was an avid animal lover since childhood, and cared for many horses and nearly countless cats and dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Allen Whitefield Sr., three brothers, Eugene Ericson Adkins, Jimmie Adkins Jr., Thomas Richard Adkins and three sisters, Geraldine Marie Adkins, Patsy Don Rose and Erma Darlene Nelson. She is survived by her son, Thomas A. Whitefield Jr., a godson, Michael Merryman, and her faithful canine companions, Rebel and Tia. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Friends will be received Monday October 30, 2023 from 10:00am-12:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will follow at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Economy Cemetery.
