Alvin L. Cords

Alvin L. Cords, 94, formerly of Monaca, died Tuesday October 15, 2024, Heritage Valley Beaver. Born June 22, 1930, Winamac, Indiana, he was the son of the late Herman F. and Florence R. Bowman Cords. He was retired from IBEW Local #728 and Local #712 and was also a US Navy Korean War veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Diana R. Cords and two brothers and two sisters. Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Carla Cords, South Carolina, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Rich Lubic, Economy Boro, Candace and Frank Shuster, Monaca, six grandchildren, Tara, Lucas, Alex, Brianna, Zane and Lena, four great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Ava, Olivia and Roman. There will be no viewing, private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements.
