Adam J. Pless, 90 of Ambridge passed away Friday January 8,2021, Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. Born July 17,1930, Connellsville, PA. He was the son of the late George and Hermina Johannes Pless.Adam later moved to Aliquippa where he met his wife, the late Palma "Pauline"Longo Pless and moved to Ambridge. He retired from J&L Steel in 1983 with 35 years of service. Adam was very active in his community, by coaching baseball and umpiring with the Ambridge Youth Association and was a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed hunting with his brothers at their camp. His greatest love was watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play baseball, softball and hockey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Palma "Pauline" Pless, four brothers, Nick, George, John and Joe Pless, three sisters Helen Wilhelm, Marie McCartney, Kay Barna and a great-grandchild Chantz Welsh. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Debbie Pless, Florida, William and Linda Pless, Aliquippa, Steven and Kris Pless, Brighton Twp., four daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Rich Kuzma,Baden, Pamela Pless, Freedom, Denise and Ken Scanlon, Hampton Twp., Michelle and Philip Deafenbaugh, Darlington, thirteen grandchildren, Brian(Michele),Richard, Joshua, Christopher (Rachel), Veronica (Tom),Jessica (Chad),Kaitlin, Chelsey, Sean, Samantha (Jim), Hillary, Lea, Logan, three great-grandchildren, Brendan, Connor and Atlas. A private family viewing and blessing service was held Sunday January 10,2021 at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES,INC. , 1099 Maplewood Ave.,Ambridge. A private interment will take place at Good Samaritan Cemetery. Donations may be to made to the Darlington Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept.,3590 Old Darlington Road, Darlington, PA 16115.
