Velma (Janet) Powell, age 84, died Sunday evening, November 4, 2015 at Victoria Manor in Oakdale. Born May 11, 1934, in Gassaway W. Va. she was the daughter of the late, John Wessley Stewart and Nellie Harper. She was retired from J & L Steel and was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ambridge. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A Powell in 2015; three brothers, Ernest, Stelman, and Buster; and three sisters, Elizabeth, Ruby and Pauline. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Tracey Powell Zalutsky and Gene Zalutsky, Robinson Twp. and one sister-in-law, Ruth Minkus, Scott Twp. There will no viewing. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, is in charge of arrangements
