Mattie Hasson Ambridge Mattie Hasson, 95, of Ambridge, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Rochester Manor. Born September 12, 1923, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of the late Alonzo and Bertha Mahaffee Murphy. She was a member of Good Samaritan Church and the Ambridge Women’s Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hasson on May 15, 2014; one granddaughter, Jacqueline Rush; a brother, John Murphy and two sisters, Mary Black and Susan Esther Murphy. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice Emerick, Raccoon Twp. and Joan ‘Libby’ and Allen Rush, Danville, Calif.; two grandchildren, Kenneth Emerick, Yuma, Ariz. and Elizabeth (Daniel) Callery, Raccoon Twp.; three great-grandchildren, Grayson Emerick, Brielle Emerick and Jackson Callery; two brothers, Russell Murphy and Edward Murphy, both of Tennessee; one sister, Ida Willey of Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday, August 22, 2019, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. at Good Samaritan Church. Interment will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Am- bridge, entrusted with arrangements.
