Mary (Tyro) Lesak

Mary Lesak Economy Borough Mary Lesak, 95, of Economy Borough, died Monday, May 13, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born December 23, 1923, in Ambridge, a daughter of the late John and Katherine Woloshyn Tyro. She was member of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. She attended the Ambridge Area Schools and was a member of the 1942 graduating class, where she was a member of the reunion committee. Mary was a member and past president of the Economy Senior Citizens, Circle of Friends Baden, the Oldies But Goodies Bowling League, the Golden Agers Bowling League and the U.N.A. Branch 161. She was employed as a cake decorator by Giant Eagle Supermarket, Quaker Village in Leetsdale, retiring in 1995. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Lesak on March 27, 1994; a son George W. Lesak on July 20 1989; two brothers, John and William Tyro and two sisters, Steffie Koodrich and Rose Ronosky. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Leah Lesak, Ambridge; five grandchildren, Matt (Samantha) Lesak, Harmony Twp., Zack Lesak, South Padre Island, Texas, Mike, Eric and Stacey Lesak all of Long Island N.Y.; a special niece, Linda Lesack, Ambridge and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Micahel Polosky officiating. Interment will follow St Peter and Paul Cemetery. Parastas service will held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
