Mark A. Hochevar, 59, of Harmony Twp., died Saturday, November 11, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital.

Born October 10, 1958, in Rochester, a son of Jane Palmer Hochevar of Hopewell Twp. and the late Joseph A. Hochevar, he was retired from the Columbia Gas Company, and had previously worked with the Ambridge Water Authority. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Church, Ambridge. Mark was an assistant Ambridge football coach, girls’ softball coach and had also coached youth baseball.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Kyle E. Hochevar, on April 13, 2015.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Darlene Casello Hochevar; a daughter, Kara Coulter and her husband Michael, Mooresville, N.C.; a brother, William Hochevar, Chippewa Twp.; two sisters, Denise Moskalo, Belle Vernon, Pa., and Diana Zon, Independence Twp.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Diane Casello, Ambridge; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean and Paula Casello, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jenine and Dan Presuit, all of Harmony Twp.; nieces and nephews, Chad, Jennifer, Elise, Brandon, Jimmy, Phil, Derek, Christine, Dean, Kelsey, Emily and Janelle, and his faithful pets, King and Banjo.

Mark loved spending time hunting and fishing, and especially being the neighborhood coach for cheerleading, football and baseball, for the kids in the area.

Family and friends will be received Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Church, with a Celebration of Life service at 5:30 p.m. The Rev. Father Joseph Carr, his pastor, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kyle Hochevar Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
