Helen P. (Jurczak) Makowski

Helen P. Makowski, 97, of Baden, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the Brighton Rehab & Wellness Center.

Born January 11, 1920, in Ambridge, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Nastycz Jurczak, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden, and the Christian Mothers of the church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Makowski Sr., in 1969; a grandson, William Ickley; a granddaughter, Sherri Salopek; three brothers, John, Frank and Joe Jurczak, and three sisters, Ann Tedys, Mary Carlson and Stella Lipski.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph T. Jr. and Donna Makowski, Baden, and Richard and Candy Makowski, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bill Ickley, Baden; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may attend a Mass of Christian burial on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery.
