Helen (Raskovsky) Fotta, 95, of Conway, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. Born December 17, 1922, in Ambridge, to the late Michael and Mary Nemcik Raskovsky. She married Joseph William Fotta on August 16, 1947; he preceded her in death on December 29, 2010. Helen is survived by three daughters, Judith Pecoraro, Butler; Germaine Fotta, New Stanton; and Karen Fotta, Conway; two granddaughters and their husbands, Suzanne and Michael Fleeger, Amanda and Nathan Rekich, and three great-grandchildren, Emily Fleeger, Tyler Rekich, and Ella Rekich, all of Butler. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph William Fotta Jr.; her son-in-law, Dean Pecoraro; and her siblings, Sr. Mary Germaine, OSF, Anna Strella, Andrew and Michael Raskovsky, Suzanne Gulik, and George Raskovsky. Helen was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Conway. Within her family, she was known for her cooking, baking and gardening skills. She enjoyed reading and bird watching in her backyard and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will always remember her with her dirty macaroni and cheese and especially Christmas Eve dinner. Her family will cherish memories of her forever. Her family would like to extend appreciation and gratitude to everyone at Providence Care Center for the excellent, compassionate care she received in her final moments. Friends will be received Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Butler Meals on Wheels or the charity of your choice.
